If you don't hear this clicking sound from the main relay, check terminal seven on the main relay (fuel pump) for power and terminal eight (computer) for ground. The Effects of a Bad RelayAlthough the problem is the same, different Honda models have different symptoms if the main relay is bad. You could also have a bad ignition switch, a bad igniter, or a bad ignition coil. But the main relay most often fails when the weather is really hot, while the other possible causes will exhibit the symptom nearly all the time. Before Replacing the Main RelayIf you've determined that the culprit could be the main relay, you should do a Honda Main Relay Test to be sure.
The icon of a green key in the instrument panel is normal although many of us never notice it. The green key will come on when you turn the ignition key to the start position. If everything is working correctly the key will blink once and go dark and the car starts. Where you insert the ignition key there is a component around the key hole called an Immobilizer. Every vehicle has its own unique code and is identified by the vehicle vin number.

That being the case, it sounds like your fuel pressure regulator isn't functioning properly. You can check vacuum leaks with a hand vacuum pump available at most auto parts stores. The fuel pressure regulator is an easy replacement if it's bad. The fuel pressure regulator is maybe $60, but the fuel pump is about $500 for someone to replace it. I am enclosing a vacuum line map that will show the fuel pressure regulator.
94 Accord EX, VTEC Fuel Pump ProblemThis is a "heat/temperature related problem". When you first turn the ignition "on", the fuel pump kicks on for a couple seconds. Normally the car starts right up, no problem when it is cold outside. When it is hot out side, sometimes (more than I like) the car will start then immediately die. At this time, when you turn the ignition back on, the fuel pump "does not" come on.
