Don't know if you read what I said, but I clearly said that I messed up with the fluid thing? Seems to me like you just want to start an argument for the sake of it. Which is why I could not tell whether you were also discounting my statement about the steering rack since you quoted my whole post. This forum is meant to share and help people about stuff related about their car and if you don't understand that then I can't help you. Don't know if you meant to quote the OP or not but I 110% agree, my first instinct would be to take it into the dealer for an issue like this.

99 honda civic steering problem

Re: 99 honda civic steering problemIt won't be in your steering column, it will be your steering gear. Your pinion gear must have decided to eat your rack gear. There are 4 bolts holding it on and you have to pull your tie rod ends and turn the wheel all the way to the short side of the rack in order for it to slide out when you remove it. You will have to drop the exhaust where the manifold attaches to the cat flange. I have done about 5 of these before and been through 2 in my car.

Most common is leakage, and I really don't see that all that often.I live in the rust belt, and I have yet to see a rack rust away...so far...(I know I haven't seen it all though.)Rust? Swap the 2 front tires and see if it pulls the other direction.Bad or bent suspension parts.

Steering and Pull to right problem

It pulls to the right. It drove straight till I turned the wheel hard to the right and it made a loud pop sound. If I turn it all the way to the left and make it pop, it will drive pretty straight till I make a right turn or turn so far to the right. Steering doesn't feel right at all. It feels like it is harder to turn the wheel left than it does right.

Honda Civic Steering Rack and Pinion Replacement

That’s where your steering rack and pinion come into play. The steering rack is connected to the steering shaft, which is connected to the steering wheel. If your steering wheel is getting harder to turn, then the steering rack and pinion may be malfunctioning, thus killing your power steering. If there’s power steering fluid puddling under your car, it may be from the steering rack. In an electric power steering system, a malfunctioning steering rack and pinion can trigger warning lights, such as the EPS light or the stability control light.
