Don't get me wrong oil filters are cheap and I always change them at every oil change on everything I own that has one. Or clean the oil filters on my Race engines running OBERG oil filters. It really takes a lot of dirt partials for the oil filter to go into by-pass. This misconception about oil filters has led OIL FILTER manufactures offering several choices implying things that are not really data proven but we all think that a pretty looking oil filter must be better. of operation does nothing really except many times cost you more for that larger oil filter.

But I certainly won't use them just to save a dollar or two as the saving here is very minimum.
I've had oil tests done with this filter. It has less surface area on the filter media than Purolator (PureOne, Synthetic and BOSS), Pennzoil and Subaru factory filter. The only filter with less is the WIX/NAPA due to its trick bypass valve which takes up nearly 1/4 of the filter housing. Filter media is not uniform. Lots of glue globbed onto the filter media.
