Meet Indonesia’s Mazda Baby Boomers. But Dr. Frankenstein – or in this case, a company known as IndoMobil – went searching through the graveyard and reanimated the little Mazda’s corpse. The MR90 stuck around and for 1992 it became the Baby Boomers. By 1995, the Baby Boomers was gone although a lightly restyled version of the RWD GLC wagon, the Vantrend, remained. Myriad cars have been marketed to baby boomers, but now you know there was a car that was actually called Baby Boomers!

Crossovers and SUVs are the road trip vehicles of choiceAmple space in a car appeals to road trippers. Either way, such a car probably wouldn't, if we're being honest, come out looking like the Mazda 6 TS hatchback. Don't get me wrong: this is a handsome, highly desirable and rather cool car, with an energetic, feline crouch to it. And who wants a car that looks like bits of a boat welded to bits of an elephant in any case? As for the cup-holders, Mazda has gone for the conventional plastic console, mounted between the front seats behind the gear stick. It's another one of those "things we thought we knew about motor cars" and, once again, we were right.
