Sejak saat itulah Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution memulai kiprahnya di dunia otomotif hingga melahirkan sepuluh model Lancer Evolution yang melegenda. Lancer Evolution I (1992)Setelah target 2.500 unit Lancer Evolution produksi massal terpenuhi, maka kiprah Lancer Evolution ini pun dimulai. Lancer Evolution II (1994)Kesuksesan Lancer Evolution generasi pertama di kancah reli WRC tampaknya membuat Mitsubishi Motors menghadirkan suksesornya yaitu Lancer Evolution II pada Januari 1994. Lancer Evolution IV (1996)Pada Oktober 1995, mobil penumpang Lancer mendapat full model change, begitu pun pada Lancer Evolution yang masuk generasi keduanya atau dikenal juga dengan Evo IV.
GridOto - Diawali celetukan sang ayah saat ikut morning run mobil yang berangan sebuah Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (Evo) orisinal. Dari blusukannya itu didapatlah sebuah Mitsubishi Lancer Evo V berkelir biru bulan Mei 2020 lalu yang kini didandani ala street racing. Generasi kelima Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution ini lahir medio tahun 1998 dibekali mesin 4G63 berkapasitas 2.000 cc. Rizky Avryandi Mesin 4G64 menjadi 4G64TPada Mitsubishi Evolution mesin 4G63 ini mampu memproduksi tenaga bawaan sebesar 247 dk. Namun uniknya mesin ini pernah ditanamkan pada Mitsubishi Eclipse dan hanya memproduksi tenaga sebesar 195 dk.
Kejuaraan reli dunia berada di ketinggian di akhir 90-an. Mitsubishi memperkenalkan mobil baru dan berakhir di tempat keempat. Itu kasar, sulit dikendalikan, dan dengan teknologi baru yang sulit dimengerti oleh driver. Kursi termurah, tidak ada AC, tidak ada radio, tidak ada jendela listrik, dan hanya tersedia dengan roda baja dan putih. Level trim atas menawarkan kursi olahraga-ember merekaro dan semua kenyamanan untuk mobil cepat.

Mendengar nama Mitsubishi, tentu yang paling diingat dalam kepala ialah Pajero Sport dan sedan kencang Lancer Evolution. Seperti halnya Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI RSX 2000 yang satu ini. Mobil ini begitu spesial bagi kalangan petrolhead karena telah mengalami beberapa modifikasi di dalamnya. Seperti dilansir Carscoops, ubahan yang dibenamkan pada Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI RSX 2000 ini antara lain adalah tidak ada sistem pengereman ABS, aluminium hood, front wings, stiffer sheel, quick release steering dan stripped out di bagian interiornya. Sebagai informasi, berbekal beberapa ubahan yang disematkan, kini bobot mobil tersebut lebih ringan 110 kg dari versi Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI pada umumnya.
