The news that Mitsubishi’s next rally-inspired all-wheel drive sedan would be powered by a diesel electric drivetrain is hardly new. In the high-octane world of rallying, moving away from traditional gasoline engines towards diesel technology is a big step. The Mitsubishi Evo isn’t exactly the most popular car in the U.S., with fans of the four-wheel-drive rally-ready car constituting a niche within a niche market.
Someone has to deliver a platform over in the States first, before we're going to sing praises of the diesel platform. The concept of diesel powered motors isn't foreign to us, or that unique or special, but someone has to plop a diesel motor in a nice chassis and send it over here; then let us at it. Our options are currently, what? Expensive Mercedes, VWs, and trucks. I'm not rich, I'm not gay, and I don't tow; there's nothing over here for me, at least until the 335d really hits the ground, and even then I want AWD.

In fact, Mitsubishi even wanted to scrap the model but an uproar by Mitsubishi Evo enthusiasts around the world has basically saved it from total extinction. I am curious how the power delivery of this diesel hybrid Evolution will be. I am quite sad that this is where the Mitsubishi Evolution needs to end up. Maybe we should save the petrol engined Mitsubishi Evolution from extinction.
So, one of my co-workers has an F350 dually with supposedly a stage 3 turbo. And a couple guys here at work are talking shit about the evo saying I would lose in a race. I have a 2015 GSR that is completely stock right now while I stockpile mods for a tune this spring. What do you guys think the odds are of the evo winning a race against a truck that weighs twice as much? And he tunes it himself which again makes me think he isn't gonna make big power.

turbo diesel engine oil in our cars!!!?? I was talking with my cousin and his engine building friend who has a turbo stang. turbo diesel engine oil has 1200-1350 zinc and 1200 phos. levels he isnt 100% sure how good it would work with our cars but i use 10-40 now. ive used every oil from ams,vr-1 to castrol edge 10-40 with lucas zinc additive and have it down after a few blackstone labs to where ill have my zinc and phos.
