Easiest swap for a 2005 Lancer cs3a with a 4g18 engine and a Manual f5m411 gearbox

I would like just 150BHP + and then I will get some coil-overs and stick a set of 17's on it so it drives a bit more like a hot hatch. The one car offically sold in Thailand with a 4g69 Mivec is the 'Spacewagon'So 4g69's are easy to find but they all would have been mated to Automatic boxes.I have a couple of friends who know more about sourcing parts so if a suitable manual gearbox (F5M42) could be found I would love a 4g69 MIVEC but if not I will look at a 4g93 GDI which would still be a big improvement on my current 4g18 which barely has 100 BHP.Many thanks for your advise!

Scotty Kilmer on the Truth about Mitsubishi Cars

I personally know of another CY (2012) with the 4A92 engine and same transmission that runs great, absolutely no issues. I would have to say Mitsubishi improved a lot with the CY especially in crash safety. The Eclipse, FTO and 3000GT VR4 were great sports cars but Nissan and Honda of that era still dominated them. Eclipses morphed into real toots starting in the 2000s and the 3000GT turned out to be a masssive failure compared to the Skyline, NSX and Supra. I won't be surprised if the Mitsubishi Motors division might not exist by 2030 while Fuso may continue for long after that.
